It's noticeably better at focusing in low light. Last night, when I shot my glass of scotch in near darkness, I couldn't help but think that while noise at ISO 51200 may slightly exceed that of the K-5 (as noted by Bill). I couldn't have taken that pic with the K-5, as it would never focus in that minimal amount of light. Looking forward to getting out and shooting some birds. But locked in editorial hell right now.
