Would I buy it? No.
I'm afraid the market would be too small for such a beast.
But given that ....

That is what we B&W film people make the most use of.
All that detail on the neg just waiting to be burned in.
It's the texture of b&w that just cannot be gotten with color.
"What lenses are these that work well for B&W but not colour"
Achromatic lenses would be perfect.
An old Artar would be wonderful on a monochrome sensor.
At lease in principle.
Remember -- film lenses had to divide the color spectrum to account
form film's physical depth.
Digital lenses are tuned to something more akin to achromatic
designs since the sensors are flat.
I've found *some* film lenses, average on film, which seemed even
better on digital.
The M40/2.8 performed quite nicely for me in that regard.
Might have been just the sample that I had, but still it was good.
If only it were an A lens.
