For this, I just racked the lens focus out to layer the focus because
the distance was pretty long. For closer macro work, it's best to have
the camera on a focus rail and move the entire rig.
I have an old Pentax focus rail that works really well and a cheap
Chinese focus stage that works like a cheap Chinese piece of junk. If
one is using a bellows, then the camera body can be moved to shift focus
as well.
