stock of them was about 40-50 machines at any time. They were

This isn't a Thinkpad. At best it's a Passingthoughtpad. It wasn't an
especially expensive machine, and my major complaint with it is actually
the local warranty center who didn't just drop the ball, he ignored that
there was a ball.
