Well yeah, *that* sucks. :-(
support for Lenovo in Norway is served by a contracted independent vendor.
I've read experiences with them as being very choosy about the kind of
failures they're willing to provide service for. Sifting out the clear-cut
warranty issues where they can pass the bill on to Lenovo, no doubt.

This isn't a Thinkpad. At best it's a Passingthoughtpad. It wasn't an
especially expensive machine, and my major complaint with it is actually
the local warranty center who didn't just drop the ball, he ignored that
there was a ball.
