Well, you know, I don't know what America's coming to. They missed an open goal with that auto-chimping legislation. The chimp could not be tried because it is an animal. Since humans can be tried, we must assume that humans are not animals. That in itself should have drawn some attention from the biologists, who ought to have opposed the judgement (to say nothing of the humanhood of the great apes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Ape_Project). Of course, as soon as the biologists claim that we are animals, the fruitcake wing of the Christians must jump in to oppose them.
The ideal result would be a law enacted that allowed nematode worms to drive without a licence, but required humans to have a licence to drive.
