I took the train this morning from snowy Philly to sunny New Haven to visit the aged mater. I had read this piece on TOP, and found it interesting after the long discussions of Bob W's Leica MM yearning:
http://theonlinephotographer.typepad.com/the_online_photographer/2014/03/getting-into-the-bw-mindset.html So I pulled out the K-5 somewhere between New York and Stamford CT, and began seeing if I could get a monochrome image on the back display while shooting RAW+. Nope. For that matter, the Monochrome filter the owners' manual talks about doesn't seem to exist. So I gave up; but noticed that the last image was 101-0003. Not much compared to the likes of Paul and Larry, but a landmark anyway. I've had the K-5 for 1 year and 10 months.
