Would be really interested to see at which f stop the convertor fails to
focus and how quickly it focuses compared to the focus of the lens by
itself.

As indicated in the original post, they’re all shot wide open at 250mm. With
the convert attached to the DA* 60-250/4, wide open is f5.6. All are
handheld/

Paul,
The sign could be impressive, but I haven't any settings, size or distance
info.
Would be interested in an f/8ish, solidly rested shot of something fairly
intricate, such as the sign.
Does the sign shot qualify?
Thanks,
Jack

The converter arrived today. It’s gray and wet outside and not a bird to
be heard, but I shot a few pics to see how well it resolves. All shot

Here’s an ISO 12,800 indoor pic of Grace, who was home sick and hasn’t
washed her hair:

Here’s a shot of a silly sign that my neighbor gave me for watering her
plants. It’s at a more modest ISO 3200

Very pleased with its performance. Hope to get out to the nature center
for some birding next week.
