You will get LOT for the moeny: it has f=2.8 meaning clearer viewfinder and faster AF in the dark, extra f-stop will give you faster shutter speeds when needed, it has very good optical quality and thanks to its construction very fast AF (compared my Z1P and this Tokina to friend's EOS-3 and 28-70/2.8 L USM - hard to tell any difference in speed!). And it is very good built - you should be happy for years!
