I dunno. I've had problems with the on-line registration EVERY TIME
since they went over to using it. At one point I got the grayed out
screen & spinning whatever-it-is too. The server goes live at midnight,
but there's no one monitoring it to make sure it's actually working.

If they're not going to have someone around to fix the inevitable
problems when it goes live at midnight, I don't understand why they
don't set it up to go live at 8:00 am when there's someone going to be
there.

It appears to be fixed now. I was able to place my order this morning.
I've gotten 5 emails from Grandfather Mountain since I successfully
registered 15 minutes ago, TWO of them being confirmations that I'm
registered.

I will be checking my statements closely to be sure that doesn't mean
I'm going to be charged for the failed attempts last night.

I got charged twice last year, but I sent Landis an email & she had it
fixed within 24 hours.

I think you broke it John. I got as far as the Place Order button.
After that (for an hour now) I just get a greyed out screen and a
spinning boomerang or whatever. I tried closing the window, coming
back into the site. When I tried to place an order, it recognized
me, updated my order from one ticket to two, and the wheel kept on
spinning…

I know know Mark said that registration starts in the morning, but
the site clearly says it is open at midnight and all the links are
live and work properly right up until Place Order which puts you in
limbo.

Registration *DID* go live at Midnight EDT as indicated on the
Grandfather Mountain Web Site.

And just like it's been every year I've tried to register, the
on-line registration is *EFFED* *UP*

It's currently telling me that:
