I'm glad to see that Ricoh has finally updated the 645. I'm gratified to
see that my prediction of Pentax making hash of it's naming conventions
continues.
Now all I need it for Ricoh to release a new upgrade to the GRX body,
and a K mount module, called the K02 and my vision will be complete.
The specifications are pretty much as expected leveraging as much of the
K-5/K-3 hardware and firmware as is physically possible, though the
articulating LCD display is less expected. I always thought that the
lack of a tilting display on Pentax DSLRs was due to their being
inherently less robust. I have to change that assessment, now I think
that Pentax hasn't used them because they reduce the compactness of the
cameras, after all what's a little more bulk on the 645, whereas the
various K bodies would begin to look like their Nikon and Canon
counterparts.
Now the calls for a FF Digital 645 will begin in 3... 2... 1...
