I have no idea if everyone else is simply being kind or simply unobservant. It is a (very) lovely photograph with a fatal flaw: the Hitler mustache.
The solution is to use two lights (butterfly lighting) rather than one. They should be placed on either side of the line formed by where you placed the single strip light.
