Yes that's an awesome video, I'd have posted it if you hadn't already

I'd love to see it in 3D.
Drones are fantastic for that kind of purpose. They flew one around
the inside of our damaged Cathedral a while ago as it's considered
too dangerous to enter.
Regarding drone laws things are a bit messy here, not only is the
legislation slow to catch up, you also have to deal with the politics
of grumpy old men at the Civil Aviation Authority and their mates at
Model Flying NZ.
In the United States, at least, Drones should fall under the category of
model aircraft, since that is what they are sized like. In typical
American dumbery, some people are trying to exclude them from that
designation because they are not scale models of full sized aircraft.
The rather infamous Andrea Meere episode had absolutely nothing to do
with the quadcopter, and everything to do with the presumption of the
thing being used for "perverted" photographic purposes.
It will be interesting to see where the Americans go with this. I can
see their idiot politicians trying to ban them, their Republicans
especially are more about controlling behavior than any sort of sane law
making, which arguably would be a breach of the First Amendment, since
the SCOTUS has already said photography is protected under free speech laws.
