I’ve had good success with the Pentax AF 540FGZ flash. I have two of them and use them for everything, including outdoor fill at high-speed synch. The new Pentax flash, AF540FGZ II is supposed to be better and well matched to the newer Pentax DSLRs. Plus it’s weather resistant. I want one. But it is pricey.
