Ahh, no - I see what you're getting at. My flash mod doesn't work by interrupting the X sync speed on auto, it works by just making sure the flash bloody well fires! I use the flash mod only with the camera set to X and therefore in manual mode. I only use it in auto mode indoors at parties while inebriated, with the flash mod switch disengaged.
