Sony is rumored to be announcing new full frame cameras with a new 40+
MP sensor in January. That would presumably NOT require an AA filter.
IF TRUE, I would expect to see Nikon offering a full frame camera with
that same sensor soon after Sony. What if Pentax adopted that sensor
for their full frame?
The *ist-D used the same sensor as the Nikon D100.
