I'm interested that the down marker is a big distraction for you;  I
thought it was an essential part of the scene.  Obviously, it depends
on your point of view.

The players in "red" are actually in orange and black, the infamous
Princeton Tigers.  The
good guys are the ones in white and green, The Big Green of my alma
mater, Dartmouth.
The game was a blow-out, and although Dartmouth won big, Harvard
prevail over Yale in overtime, so
Dartmouth failed in their effort to grab a portion of the Ivy league title.

I guess I need to check the color balance if the Princeton orange
looks red to most viewers.
