When we were in Switzerland several years ago, we discovered that
quite a few of the better Swiss wines were using screw caps. I think
it is the thing to come, especially for wines not meant to be saved
for decades before being drunk.
I have heard a couple of times that pretty much all wine sold in liquor
stores is drunk within a day of being bought. The people who are
cellaring wine are probably not going to the local off sale for plonk.
