bit of when I was a kid.
when you asked the secret of wildlife (photography), it tickled a thought
that has stuck with me for decades — a comment by Gary Snyder (naturalist
poet and student of Zen) that he thought Zen had in part developed out of
the state of mind of the primeval hunter; for me, developing patience and
openness to raw experience are a big part of my contemplative approach to
photography
