Choosing numbers closest to my current catalog & closest upload speed it
would take:
37 Days 0 Hours 36 Minutes 11.76 Seconds to upload (575Gb at 1.544 Mbps).
Actually, it would take longer than that, because I don't get 1.55Mbps
upload speed. On a good day it's 1.10Mbps.
I could probably trim a little time by only uploading Raw (DNG) and
Working (PSD) files & just planning on recreating output (JPG) files if
I ever needed to reload from an on-line backup.
I'm on Time-Warner Cable, and I ain't NEVER gonna' get anything like
100Mbps.
Gonna' have to look for something though because my current off-site
backup plan is kaput.

You can certainly do what you like, Ralf, but there are plenty of

copy of their catalog.
Here is a file transfer calculator, for those who would like to know
how long it would take.

According to that it looks like 1 TB would upload on a 100mbps
connection in about 24.5 hrs. Or, 1/3 TB during 3 nights of sleep. I
leave it as an exercise for the reader to determine how many
overnights would be needed for 5 TB.

It seems to me that it would take an enormous amount of time and

Rather something for people taking JPEGs with their smartphones. I don't see
myself putting around 5 TB of photos online, not even with my 100 mbps fibre
connection.
