I doubt the “softness” I experienced in my shoots at Arabia Mountain was the 
fault of the lens. That said, I’m toying seriously with replacing it with the 
DA 55-300. 

And maybe getting a good shorter zoom, e.g., the DA 20-40 Limited, which would 
be a huge investment for me. I’d be interested in any comments on this lens. If 
there’s one that’s as good, or almost as good, and cheaper I’d be interested in 
hearing about it, too.
