I don't know about Enfuse but if you have Photoshop CC you have a very
capable stacking tool. I downloaded the 30 day trial of Zerene Stacker a
while back, but it expired before I got any useful results. The problems
were not with the software, but rather in my technique. I then started
working with Photoshop and used it till I got the process down. I
ultimately bought Zerene stacker.
Photoshop is very memory and resource intensive but on my PC it handles
stacks of 30 or fewer 24MP images without issue. My advice would be to
work things out with PS till you are getting consistent results, and try
the free trials of dedicated stacking tools. You will get much more out
of the trial versions if you have the process well defined. FWIW - I
think Zerene stacker isgenerall more capable the PS for stacking, but I
still run into situations were PS delvers better output than Zerene
stacker and often use a hybrid approach with both products.
You probably already know this - but use Photoshop tools in Bridge to
load files into PS Layers for stacking. (I did not know that at first
and the process of manually loading files as layers was very time
consuming.)
