this is how I (Susan) did it. I would have preferred to do this in Lightroom because I don't have Photoshop. My SO does have it but it's on a Mac and I'm using Windows. I'll have to use her machine and go through two learning curves simultaneously to focus stack with Photoshop. Please just kill me now.
