The HN-13 is listed as a 72mm hood at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1347563564 and it looks to be about the same diameter front and back. I thought I've seen it as 72mm elsewhere, too. Are you sure about the 86mm? Are you saying it's 86mm if you don't use the polarizer, but 72mm if you do?
