I bought my MX with a split image screen, and I like it in most situations.
I'm not sure I could focus properly with a plain screen because I have a
short sight (I'm not sure if it's good English). I think it's too big for
correct focus, but too small to use a diopter correction (I need +0.5
diopter in each eye). I hate shooting in glasses.

I have grid srceens in all my bodies & will put grid screens into any future
camera bodies I might own. I find the grid screen really helps with image
composition.
