Thanks, Dan. That’s what I’m going for—with family and with folks I’ll get to 
know while I’m there.. 

But I know there will be wonderful photo opportunities and I’d hate to miss 
them. As I said, I want to travel light—as light as possible. There will be a 
bit of walking with my luggage, so I’m hoping to get everything in a carry-on 
and a smallish backpack, maybe a moderate-sized shoulder bag. 

My hesitation about the K-5 has to do with the fact that the combination of it 
and the lens I’d like to take—the 16-45—makes a pretty bulky item. The primes I 
would consider—an a 28/2.8 and a da 35/2.4--are not as wide as I’d like. The DA 
21/3.2 would be ideal.
