Do it. It has shortcomings as you might expect. The AF works fine within a narrow range, the range to be be defined by the user. I.e., if you manually pre-focus, then the AF can search around that spot as you shift the camera viewpoint slightly or the subject moves a bit. But it won’t take you all the way from close to infinity. And it does not play well with AF lenses. As a 1.7x to use with A series lenses, it is good quality and a definite bargain at the price.
