Thanks Dan. It's always very interesting to hear what others look for and see.
The subject is a jet fighter. It's a detail abstraction, not a classic documentarian photograph of a fighter. Every bit in the photo is a part of Lt. Scott's fighter jet, all massive shapes, colors, parts of this engine of flight and fight. No piece of it seen in this photo is complete; it is all becoming, waiting, ready. It awaits just Lt Scott to be in his control seat: His presence would complete the moment, after which it will take to motion, to the air. But even in stillness it is all motion and imperative force.
