It's part of the same fighter - a de Havilland Sea Vixen - a twin boom
tail (think P.38) jet fighter first introduced in '59. It's the nose,
if you like, of the left hand tail boom that you're seeing. These were
extended in front of the leading edge in the Mk.2 version and
contained extra fuel tanks.
