I have a January 1976 Pentax Suggested Retail Price List that shows this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/5978276070/ The cameras were "S" series and "K" series. Similarly the cases, accessories, and "Macro, Micro, Copy Equipment" were either "S" or "K". The lenses were either SMCT (Takumar) or SMC Pentax (later referred to as SMCP). There WAS an "Asahi Pentax Mount Adapter K", but when they originally made that or named it that, I'm not sure. I think that third-party lens makers used the mount abbreviation of PK to differentate from other possible P mount confusion (including the previous m42 lenses which were also called P for Pentax or Practica). -- Life is too short to put up with bad bokeh. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
