The storm that's headed up the east coast reached here about 4:00 am.
And day 3, the sun is shining, it's currently 43 degrees (F) and the ice is melting. The tree branches are falling & the sleet that accumulated on my front sidewalk has turned into a solid sheet of Ice. I'll have to get out there this afternoon & break it off (and scatter some sand) so the mail lady can get to the house tomorrow. It's supposed to go down into the low 20s tonight, so everything that melts today will be frozen again in the morning. They're warning of black ice, so that means the schools will probably be closed. The little wood bin inside is empty. The middle size one right outside the front door is too, so I've got to move wood in from the big stack on the outer porch. But I've got coffee and the cinnamon rolls will be ready in about 5 more minutes, so I'm not complaining. Hope the rest of you are faring at least as well as I am this morning. -- Science - Questions we may never find answers for.
