Thanks for looking and commenting, Paul, Ann, Igor Jack Darren and Marc!

This is the view from the beach across the road from where we stay,
and is my favorite vista of Muai. Yes those are wind turbines,
generating electricity for the island. This group is on the back side
of the West Maui Mountains, while the other is on the back side of
Haleakala, the 10,000 foot volcano behind us as we look west to the
Pacific.

The dark area visible on West Maui, just to the right of the wind
turbines, is a field fire that blazed through that windy area the day
before I took this image. The fire shut down the highway to the
northern resorts for more than 5 hours.

Please note that this was taken with my ancient Optio, the very first
little digital that Pentax marketed by showing it inside an Altoids
tin. I did indeed keep it in such a tin for a while, just to amaze my
friends.

I will try to clean it up later when I have a chance. Thanks for all
your suggestions.
