Cat 6 has a plastic core that keeps the four pairs separated. This gives it higher bandwidth, but makes it bigger and stiffer.
What bandwidth do you need to transmit over the cable? The 5e should be less
springy and may be sufficient electrically, especially for only 30m or so.
