Considered WiFi?
Cheers Bruce.
I should have qualified the request with an illustration. The ethernet
is for reeling out from a cable drum from my truck to a distance up to
50 metres away to plug into a hardware video encoder next to the camera.
An alternative (which I am already capable of) is to leave the hardware
encoder in the truck and cable out up to 50m with video SDI cable and
also XLR audio cable). A further alternative is to invest in a radio cam
system (wireless digital video/audio link) but these are quite expensive
and over 4k GBP for the cheapest.
I can use the truck's wifi in the immediate vicinity of it.
Cotty, my drone uses a wi-fi-ish technology called Lightbridge. Whether
it would work for you or not, I do not know, but it has a very good range.
