Hi Bernd,

The cells that I used were definitely Sanyo 1/3AA NiCd cells of 225mAh 
capacity. The AA cells have a diameter of 14.5mm and were very tight to fit in 
the charger cavities. The wholesaler from which I bought the cells no longer 
has the 225mAh cells for sale (they were in the Sanyo High Capacity Cadnica E 
Series), now I can only find the Cadnica N-110AA 1/3AA 110mAh cells, maybe the 
225mAh cells are out of production?
