Well, the Leica SL is huge for a mirrorless camera, even a FF mirroless, like the Sony A7II. It's all relative really.

With my nostalgic connection to Pentax owners going strong in my head, I

frame spec lenses.

I thought it interesting to do a comparison at camerasize.com to see how the
K-1 worked out in dimensions and weight to my current main camera, the Leica SL:

Leica SL Typ 601 is 8% (10.5 mm) wider and 5% (6 mm) shorter than Pentax K-1.
Leica SL Typ 601 is 54% (46.5 mm) thinner than Pentax K-1.
Leica SL Typ 601 [847 g] weighs 16% (163 grams) less than Pentax K-1 [1010 g]
   (*inc. batteries and memory card).

Leica SL Typ 601 dimensions: 147x104x39 mm (camera body only, excluding
protrusion)
Pentax K-1 dimensions: 136.5x110x85.5 mm (camera body only, excluding
protrusion)

It's kind of funny. Many in the Leica community are up in arms about the SL
being too big and too heavy, yet people here are saying that the K-1 is small
and light for a FF camera. Gosh, I'd hate to be a camera manufacturer.

I can't judge these cameras. They all blur to my eyes. I'm happy with what I
have and don't want anything more.

But I hope the new Pentax is everything you have been hoping for. Now it's just
a matter of booking plane fare so I can be there when Cotty eats his hat. ];-)
