Yes, 'tis the same optical design. As for harsh bokeh (in the K-mount version) - http://www.cetussoft.com/pentax/k105f28/105brs28.jpg (@f/2.8) http://www.cetussoft.com/pentax/k105f28/105brs80.jpg (@f/8) Admittedly, these are "worst-case" specimens, and usually the bokeh is not as harsh as in these. I do have a few others (including the above two) at - http://www.cetussoft.com/pentax/k105f28/ Also, there are a couple of other 105/2.8 portraits at - http://www.pentax-fan.jp/photo/lenslist.asp The 105/2.8 can be a good portrait lens (and the FL is a useful one), but the bokeh is not one of its strong points.
