It looked to me as if your processing was trying to compensate for exceeding the performance envelope of your gear, that it is a tight crop from a lens that is not long enough, and that you were fighting some dynamic range issues, blown highlights and noise in the shadows.

While some aspects of the processing are a bit harsh, it's an excellent shot. Well composed, perfectly focused.

I saw the file was "edited-2", tried looking for another version and flickr has messed around with their UI yet again. If you click on the search at the top of the page, it will only search "people you follow" or "everyone", if you want to search someone's feed in particular, you have to click on the magnifying glass immediately above the top of one of their images.

I don't know what processing effect is causing the massive halo around
the bird. But whatever it is you need to use less of it. ;-)
