It makes less sense to me from an economic perspective than an technical 
perspective and that's pretty poor too IMHO. Maybe this consortium believe that 
we as consumers are now so conditioned to change and the concepts of redundancy 
and upgrade that they think that something like this will work? 

If this new technology is targeted towards any buyers other than traditional 
non-PnS users then it's misdirected, no new (ex film PnS) digital camera buy is 
going to want to have to change lenses ever, they will want an all purpose zoom 
and non of this lens changing crap.

I can only guess that the majority of interchangeable lens camera owners will 
be alienated via this technology. I still envisage shooting film alongside 
digital for a while to come, lets face it they hardly replace each other, 
surely most photographers have similar expectations? I don't want to be 
carrying two sets of glass, I just want a damn K mount digital body. :-(
