Whilst I appreciate the effort that Digital Photography Review and other site like them put into their camera reviews they really don't know much about photography and what matters to photographers. The Sony DSC-F707 and the Olympus E series cameras get pretty good reviews as they should compared to the majority of digicams however both lenses display serious optical aberrations. The Oly has quite pronounced geometric distortion at its zoom extremes and it suffers from chromic aberrations also particularly at the frame corners. I'd rather the tyranny of a mirror box and a lens that I know works properly.
