Cath's Samsung seems remarkably unfussy. I had an Android phone after I had a Windows phone, and the Android was better. When I got an iPhone then an iPad I was at first horrified by the skeuomorphic interface - all faux wood and genuine-style leatherette - but fairly quickly got used to the better interaction style. When the flat interface out it made it feel better. But it still has its share of crap, like the stupid datepicker, which never ceases to amaze me, and various 'mystery meat' hidden bits, where the lust for cool gets the better of usability. I recently bought a cheap Android tablet for programming purposes, and it reminded me just how badly thought-through the interaction style is - very clunky compared to iOS. To top it all, unless you buy one of the Google devices you get lumbered with the device maker's bloat-ware, which you can't remove, and which makes the experience even worse.
