one option is to use a 100mm macro on a Micro 4/3 camera; i find that the Pentax M 100/4 handles nicely, and focus-peaking in the EVF is a bonus

another option is adapted lenses on K-mount bodies; for example i have a 6x7 SMC Macro-Takumar 135mm/4 which i've considered adapting; it's a big beautiful lens, but i'm not not convinced it would be tack sharp on a small sensor, and it's not that much longer than the 100mm macros i have
