Cinematographers tended to love the 5D at first, because it gave a large
single sensor at an affordable price.

Camera manufacturers took note, and now produce proper video cameras
with large single sensors.

In fact a slightly smaller sensor is now the accepted standard in film-
making and broadcast -  the 'Super35' sensor.

I think 5Ds will be used more as a mute camera for mounting on car hoods
or in cramped places. Filmmakers will readily choose the Canon C300 or
Sony FS7 in either EF or more usually PL mount.

Cine primes is still an expanding market depending on budget!
