And now we know why cinematographers tend to love the Canon EOS 5D and
why Panasonic does so well selling cameras to the same market.
Cinematographers tended to love the 5D at first, because it gave a large
single sensor at an affordable price.
And probably because lenses for them were so common they practically
came in cracker jack boxes.
Camera manufacturers took note, and now produce proper video cameras
with large single sensors.
In fact a slightly smaller sensor is now the accepted standard in film-
making and broadcast - the 'Super35' sensor.

The left end of that chart is really confusing me. 1/3" is about 8mm,
not 4.8 or 6, 1/2" is about 12mm, not 6.4 or 8, and so forth. It is
almost as if they add the width to the height and then round up by some
fairly large amount to get to the listed perspective.
I think 5Ds will be used more as a mute camera for mounting on car hoods
or in cramped places. Filmmakers will readily choose the Canon C300 or
Sony FS7 in either EF or more usually PL mount.
Cine primes is still an expanding market depending on budget!
