Interesting question (I have an old Minolta SCSI scanner somewhere...).
There's a lot of info on adapters intended to make SCSI hard drives accessible by USB, and it is possible that it will translate well to scanners. Hard to find testimonies online from people who have tried it tho...

Looks like an experiment will set you back by about a hundred pounds for a SCSi to USB adapter.

Both VueScan and Silverfast seems to support the scanner if you can make it communicate. I suppose they have trial versions?

Hi Listers

I have an old but possibly still useful Nikon LS-1000 film scanner with
a SCSI connection.

Is there anything readily available on the market that would allow me to
connect the scanner to either USB or FireWire on a recent Mac computer?

Thanks
