Can't help with most of your issues, Bipin, but it was noticeable that, on my *ist-D, the battery indicator would show low or empty after using the built-in flash, but would go back to full after turning the camera off and on again. I always thought that the indicator was probably displaying current charge against current drain, to arrive at that conclusion! I've noticed a similar situation on my K5II as well.
