Another main advantage is that Lithium AA works much better over extreme range of temperature (especially low temperature) than alkalines: from -40 to 60 degree celsius. In addition, it has light weight (33% lighter than alkalines; even better when you compare with carrying 4 sets of alkalines) and long shelf life (10+ years).
