In my experience: 1. The lithium's have a 10 year shelf life.
2. In high current intermittent (motor drive, strobe) use they will last 3-5 times as long as alkaline's. (compared to standard alkaline's, I have not compared them to the newer high output alkaline's) 3. In continuous low current use (clock, telephone) they will not last as long as long as alkaline's. I use them exclusively in my mini-mag light as I want to know they are still good when I need the light even though I have not used it in months.
