I am lazy, however, so I find it easier to move the decimal one place to the left, and then double it and round up. Waitstaff work hard, for low wages, and they take a lot of abuse. They also get stiffed a lot/ Therefore, for good service, I consider 20% a minimum, and occasionally go up to 25% for better than expected service, or if we stayed longer than the average stay. Sometimes I pay the check by CC and leave the tip in cash, if I don't have confidence in the management's treatment of the employees. <G> Dan Matyola http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
