I agree.  I am lazy, however, so I find it easier to move the decimal one
place to the left, and then double it and round up.

Waitstaff work hard, for low wages, and they take a lot of abuse.  They
also get stiffed a lot/  Therefore, for good service, I consider 20% a
minimum, and occasionally go up to 25% for better than expected service, or
if we stayed longer than the average stay.  Sometimes I pay the check by CC
and leave the tip in cash, if I don't have confidence in the management's
treatment of the employees.  <G>
