Never seen 'em around here.  I think people in these parts are more
heavily armed than the armed forces, or so it seems.

Traveling to Mexico on vacation many times in my life we always would
encounter road stops with heavily armed military guys that would ask
you where you were going and might even search your car.  In the
earliest days, a bribe was expected.  Not so much any more.
